Grandma Cusick’s Shortcake

Ingredients

2 cups Flour

1 tbsp Baking Powder

2 tbsp Pioneer Granulated Sugar

½ cup Butter

⅔ Milk

1 Egg, Beaten

1 Lb Strawberries (Diced and Sugar to Taste)

Whipped Cream, Optional

Grease an 8-by-8-inch baking dish or an 8-inch pie pan. Set the oven to 400 degrees.

Mix all the dry ingredients together. Cut in the butter.

Add the wet ingredients (Milk and Egg). The batter will be lumpy and runny.

Place the batter into the prepared pan.

Bake for 18 minutes. Serve warm with strawberries and whipped cream.
