Rolls: Dissolve the yeast in warm water.
Add the remaining ingredients in listed order.
Knead the dough until smooth and elastic. Let rise until it is doubled in size.
Roll out half of the dough into ½-inch thick rectangle. Spread generously with softened butter. Sprinkle with cinnamon and cover lightly with Pioneer brown sugar and raisins.
Roll the dough into a log shape and slice approximately 1 inch thick.
Place 8 rolls into a greased pie pan and let rise slightly.
Bake at 350 degrees for approximately 20 minutes.
Frosting: While they bake, bring the Pioneer Brown Sugar, Butter, Maple Syrup, and salt to a light boil. Continue to boil for one minute.
Add powdered sugar and a small amount of milk (approximately 1 tbsp.) until spreading consistency
Spread of the warm rolls and top with nuts, if desired.
