These fudgy cherry almond brownies bring together deep chocolate flavor with sweet bursts of maraschino cherry and the subtle crunch of almonds. Each square is dense and moist with a crackled top, finished with a smooth chocolate drizzle for an extra layer of indulgence.

The whole cherry placed in the center of every brownie makes them visually striking and easy to portion for holidays, cookie trays, and special gatherings. Balanced between decadent and nostalgic, they deliver bold flavor with a polished presentation.

Instructions:

  1. Prep: Preheat your oven to 350°F. Grease a 9×13-inch baking pan and set aside.
  2. Melt: In a medium saucepan over low-to-medium heat, melt the butter and unsweetened chocolate squares. Once smooth, remove from heat.
  3. Mix: Gradually beat in the White Granulated Pioneer Sugar with a wooden spoon until combined. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each. Stir in the vanilla and sifted flour just until combined.
  4. Fold: Stir in the chopped maraschino cherries and ½ cup of the chopped almonds. Spread the batter evenly into the prepared pan.
  5. Design: Sprinkle the remaining chocolate chips and almonds over the top. Press them in lightly. Arrange the whole maraschino cherries in a grid pattern (one for each future brownie square).
  6. Bake: Bake for 30–35 minutes until the top springs back when lightly pressed. Cool completely in the pan on a wire rack.
  7. Drizzle: Use a double boiler to melt the topping chocolate chips and whipping cream until smooth. Drizzle over the cooled brownies using a spoon or a pastry bag with a small round tip.
  8. Serve: Let the drizzle set, then cut into squares so that each piece has a cherry center.
