Instructions:

  3. Incorporate Liquids: Remove the saucepan from the heat. Whisk in the eggs one at a time, followed by the canola oil and vanilla. Mix well until the batter is glossy.
  4. Add Dry Ingredients: Stir in the flour and baking soda until the batter is smooth.
  5. The Secret Lift: Make a small “dent” in the center of the batter and pour in the vinegar. Mix thoroughly; the reaction between the vinegar and baking soda ensures a perfect rise.
