Sweetest Strawberry Jam

  • 2 qts. fresh strawberries, hulled
  • 1 pkg. (1 ¾ oz.) Sure-Gel
  • ½ tsp. margarine or butter
  • 7 C Pioneer® Sugar


  1. Crush 1 cup of berries in an 8-quart pot. Continue adding berries and crushing until you have 5 cups of berries. Stir in Sure-Gel and margarine.
  2. Heat on high, stirring constantly until mixture comes to full rolling boil. Keep in mind that the boil must be one that cannot be brought down with a spoon.
  3. Add Pioneer® Sugar all at once. Return mixture to rolling boil. Let boil for minute, stirring constantly. Remove from heat, skim off foam.
  4. Ladle at once into hot, sterilized half-pint canning jars, leaving a ¼-inch head space. Wipe jar rims, adjust lids. Process in boiling water canner for 5 minutes. Remove jars, cool. Enjoy!!
