  • Half a head of a large cabbage
  • 1 ½ C water
  • ½ C vegetable oil
  • 6 oz. wide egg noodles, uncooked
  • ¼ – ½ C Pioneer® Sugar

  1. Cut the cabbage into small ¼-inch pieces. Add water, oil, and cabbage to a large frying pan. You can add a bit more oil if you wish, just make sure you do not have more oil than water. Cook on low heat simmering cabbage until limp; stir frequently.
  2. While cabbage is cooking, cook egg noodles in a large saucepan (please do not use yolk-free noodles). Bring water (approximately 2 cups) to boil, add the noodles and cook until tender; drain. When the cabbage can be cut with cooking utensil it is done. Drain cabbage well.
  3. Assemble the cooked cabbage and cooked noodles into the large frying pan and mix together. Add Pioneer® Sugar to taste. Keep warm over low heat until ready to serve. Makes a great main or side dish. Enjoy!
