Sticky-Chicky Wings

  • 2 ½ lbs. chicken wings, cut into 3 sections – discard tips; wash and pat dry.
  • ½ C flour
  • ¼ tsp. garlic salt
  • ¼ tsp. lemon pepper
  • 3 T oil (more if needed)

Sauce Ingredients:

  • ¾ C Pioneer® Sugar
  • ½ C cider vinegar
  • ¼ C pineapple juice
  • ¼ C ketchup
  • 1 tsp. soy sauce
  • ¼ C honey


  1. Preheat oven 350° F.
  2. In shallow dish, combine flour, garlic salt and lemon pepper. Dip chicken pieces in flour mixture. Place on a cake rack while heating up oil in a 12-inch skillet. Heat oil on medium heat. Add chicken a few at a time, browning all sides. Repeat with all chicken. Drain on paper towel and set aside.
  3. In medium sauce pan, combine Pioneer® Sugar, cider vinegar, pineapple juice, ketchup, soy sauce and honey, heat to boiling stirring until sugar is dissolved. Place chicken in a shallow baking pan or sheet pan, lined with foil (spray foil with cooking spray). Pour sauce over chicken wings. Bake, uncovered for 30 minutes; turning after 15 minutes, until nice, glazed and crisp.
