Steamed Brussels Sprouts

  • 1 lb. Brussels sprouts
  • ½ C olive oil
  • ¼ C red wine vinegar
  • ½ tsp Pioneer® Sugar
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp pepper
  • ¼ tsp granulated garlic
  • zest of 1 lemon


  1. Steam the Brussels sprouts for 10-15 minutes or until tender. Drain and shock in a bowl of ice cold water or under running water to stop the cooking process; set aside.  
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine olive oil, red wine vinegar, Pioneer® Sugar, salt, pepper and garlic; stir to blend.  
  3. Pour over the sprouts. Garnish with lemon zest just before serving.
