Spinach & Romaine Salad

  • 1 can oranges, drained
  • 1 glass jar artichokes, drained and cut up
  • 1 can large black olives, drained
  • Spinach
  • Romaine
  • ¼ lb. Gruyere cheese, grated


  • ⅓ C Pioneer® Sugar
  • 1 tsp. dry mustard
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • fresh ground pepper (couple of twists)
  • 1 T sesame seeds
  • 1 T grated onion
  • 1 C oil
  • ⅓ C red wine vinegar


  1. In a large salad bowl toss oranges, artichokes, black olives, spinach and romaine together. Add cheese and toss until combined.
  2. In a salad shaker mix Pioneer® Sugar, mustard, salt, ground pepper, sesame seeds, grated onions, oil and vinegar; shake well.
  3. Right before serving pour dressing onto prepared salad to taste.

Cook's Note

 If you are not serving immediately cover loosely and place in the refrigerator until ready to serve. Do the same with the dressing (shake well before using.)
