  • 2 ¼ C Pioneer® Sugar
  • 1 C vegetable oil
  • 3 LG eggs
  • 3 C all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp baking soda
  • 2 ½ tsp pumpkin pie spice
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 can (15 oz.) pumpkin puree

Frosting Ingredients:

  • 4 oz. cream cheese, softened
  • 3 T unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 ½ C Pioneer® Confectioners Powdered Sugar, sifted
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • Milk, as needed


  1. Preheat oven to 350° F. Spray a 10-inch Bundt pan with nonstick cooking spray; set aside.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine Pioneer® Sugar and oil until thoroughly blended. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  3. In a medium bowl, sift together flour, baking soda, pumpkin pie spice and salt. Alternating the dry mixture and the pumpkin puree; add to egg mixture, blending well after each addition.
  4. Transfer batter to prepared pan. Bake for 60-65 minutes or until toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean. Cool for about 10 minutes before inverting onto wire rack. Remove pan and cool completely before preparing the cream cheese frosting.

Frosting Directions:

  1. In a medium mixing bowl with an electric mixer, mix cream cheese and butter until well-combined and fluffy – about 2 minutes. Gradually add in the Pioneer® Confectioners Powdered Sugar. Once the powdered sugar is completely incorporated, blend at medium speed for 2 minutes. Mix in vanilla and a tablespoon of milk until you reach the right consistency. If desired, add orange food coloring and pumpkin pie spice; mix until well-combined. Spoon frosting over cooled cake.
