  • 1 can biscuits, flaky or buttermilk
  • 1 LG can peaches, sliced or irregular pieces
  • ¼ C (1 stick) butter or margarine
  • ½ C Pioneer® Golden Light Brown Sugar
  • cinnamon to taste
  • nutmeg to taste
  • ginger (if desired) to taste
  • ice cream (optional), vanilla or butter pecan

  1. Preheat oven to 375° F. Grease a square or round pie plate (deeper the better).
  2. Place biscuits close together in dish (sides touching). Add the peaches and juice so that a small amount of the top of the biscuit is left untouched. Add pats of butter, arranging them as you please. Sprinkle Pioneer® Golden Light Brown Sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg and ginger over the top.
  3. Bake approximately 20 minutes. Check for browned topped biscuits the last 5 minutes of baking. A good golden brown is good. Serve in fancy dessert dishes over ice cream…or plain with the hot syrupy juices drizzled over it.

Cook's Note

Vanilla ice cream can be used, but Butter Pecan is a nice treat.
