  • 1 lb. walnuts
  • 1 lb. Ritz crackers
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 C Pioneer® Sugar
  • ¼ lb. butter
  • ½ tsp cloves
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • ½ tsp nutmeg
  • 1 lemon, grated and juiced
  • Colored sugar; red, white, green


  1. Preheat oven to 375° F.
  2. Grind the walnuts and crackers to a fine texture with a food processer. Place in a large bowl.
  3. Add in eggs; mix. Add Pioneer® Sugar; mix. Add butter, cloves, cinnamon and nutmeg; mix. Juice lemon into batter and add the zest; mix well. Knead the dough by hand to make sure everything is mixed together well.
  4. Place colored sugars in a shallow bowl, stir to combine. Mold cookie into desired shape then dip each cookie into the colored sugars. Place on baking sheet.
  5. Bake for 12-15 minutes. Let cool a bit on baking sheet; then remove to rack.
