  • 1 pkg. Pillsbury ‘just unroll’ pie crust
  • 6-7 MED – LG Michigan Ida Red apples, peeled and cored
  • 1 ¼ C Pioneer® Sugar
  • 2 T butter
  • 2 T nutmeg
  • 3 T cinnamon

  1. Preheat oven to 375° F.
  2. Line your 9 or 10-inch pie pan with one of the crusts. Take your cored apples and slice in a circular motion and place on top of pie crust. In a circular motion again, spread Pioneer® Sugar over top of apples. Take butter and cut into 4 pieces and dot over top of sugar. Spread the nutmeg and cinnamon in a circular motion. Take the last crust, and place on top of the apple filling. Cut the pie crusts together so only an inch of the crust hangs over the side. Roll the top under both crusts around the edge of the pie pan and flute edge to hold in place. Slice a few holes in top of the crust to vent. Place pie oven and bake for about 45 minutes or until it is done. You can tell when the pie is done by placing a toothpick through the center — if the toothpick goes through it is done.
