  • 2 cans (8 ct) crescent rolls
  • 2 sticks butter
  • 2 tart apples, peeled and sliced into 8 pieces each
  • 2 tsp Pioneer® Sugar
  • dash of cinnamon (to taste)
  • dash of nutmeg (to taste)

  • 1 C Pioneer® Sugar
  • ½ C water
  • 1 stick butter
  • dash of cinnamon
  • dash of nutmeg

  • Sliced almonds or favorite chopped nuts
  • Raisins, currants, or dried cranberries inside or on top

  1. Preheat oven to 350° F. Butter the bottom of a 9 x 13-inch pan; set aside.
  2. Melt butter. Mix the melted butter, Pioneer® Sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg together until well blended. Add nuts, raisins/cranberries if desired. Mix in apples to coat slices.
  3. Open the crescent rolls and divide into 16 triangles. Lightly brush some of the sauce inside the crescent roll. Spoon one apple slice and a little liquid onto top (widest part) of crescent roll. Roll up and place into prepared pan.
  4. Sauce: In a microwavable mixing bowl, melt butter. Add Pioneer® Sugar, water, cinnamon and nutmeg. Mix until sugar is well dissolved. Pour over prepared rolls.
  5. Bake until brown; about 30-45 minutes.
  6. Optional: Make additional sauce and drizzle over the top after baking. Sprinkle top with sliced almonds or your favorite nuts like walnuts or pecans. Use Pioneer® Confectioners Powdered Sugar and a little milk to create a glaze to drizzle over the top. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream for the perfect fall treat!
