Cucumber Salad

  • 6 med. cucumbers
  • 1 LG onion
  • ½ tsp celery seed
  • 1 T salt
  • 1 C Pioneer® Sugar
  • 1 C vinegar


  1. Wash cucumbers and slice thin. Peel onion and thinly slice. Place cucumbers and onion in a serving dish; set aside.
  2. In a bowl add celery seed, salt, Pioneer® Sugar and vinegar. Mix until sugar is mostly dissolved. Pour over the cucumber and onion mix. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate at least 24 hours before serving.

Cook's Note

I prefer to use white vinegar. I also do not peel the cucumbers.
