  • 1 C butter or margarine
  • 1 ¼ C Pioneer® Sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 ½ C flour
  • 1 ½ tsp. baking powder
  • ½ tsp. salt
  • ½ C nuts, chopped
  • ½ C maraschino cherries, chopped
  • ⅔ C flaked coconut
  • 6 oz. miniature chocolate chips


  1. Preheat oven to 375° F. Grease a 9 x 13-inch pan; set aside.
  2. In a large bowl cream together butter and Pioneer® Sugar. Gradually add eggs and vanilla; mix well.
  3. In a separate bowl sift together flour, baking powder and salt. Stir into creamed mixture.
  4. Add nuts, cherries, coconut and chocolate chips stir until well blended. Spread dough in pan.
  5. Bake for 25 minutes or until bars are firm in the center. Cool slightly.
