Hot chocolate with whipped cream in two glasses

Cinnamon Chocolate Mousse

  • 1 C cold whole milk
  • 2 ¼ tsp. unflavored gelatin
  • 1 C semisweet chocolate chips
  • 2 C heavy whipping cream
  • ¼ C Pioneer® Sugar
  • ½ – ¾ tsp. ground cinnamon
  • ½ tsp. vanilla extract

Optional Toppings:

  • whipped cream
  • chocolate sprinkles or curls
  • ground cinnamon or nutmeg


  1. Pour milk into a small bowl; sprinkle gelatin over the top. Let stand for 5 minutes or until softened.
  2. Place chocolate chips into a medium mixing bowl.
  3. In a small saucepan, bring the heavy whipping cream and Pioneer® Sugar to a boil; remove from the heat. Gradually pour over chips, whisking until smooth. Fold in gelatin mixture. Stir in cinnamon and vanilla.
  4. Pour into five dessert cups or dishes, leaving room for whipped cream on top if desired. Cover and chill for at least 2 hours.
  5. Top with whipped cream, chocolate sprinkles, chocolate curls and/or cinnamon and nutmeg when serving.

Cooks Note

You may add in some dark chocolate chips or use dark chocolate chips only, if desired.
