Chocolate Chocolate-Chip Cookies

  • 2 ¼ C all-purpose flour
  • 1/3 C unsweetened cocoa
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 C butter (2 sticks), softened
  • ¾ C Pioneer® Sugar
  • ¾ C Pioneer® Golden Light Brown Sugar, packed
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 pkg. (12 oz.) semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 C pecans, chopped (optional)


  1. Preheat oven to 375° F. Line a couple of cookie sheets with parchment paper; set aside.
  2. Stir together flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt in a bowl.
  3. In a large mixing bowl beat butter, Pioneer® Sugar, Pioneer® Golden Light Brown Sugar and vanilla on medium speed until creamy. Add eggs; beat well.
  4. Gradually add flour mixture; beating well after each insertion.
  5. Stir in chocolate chips and nuts. Drop by rounded teaspoons onto prepared pan.
  6. Bake 8-10 minutes or until set. Cool slightly on pan; remove to wire rack to continue cooling.
