  • 3 C Pioneer® Golden Light Brown Sugar, packed
  • 1 C heavy cream
  • 2 T unsalted butter
  • 1 ½ tsp. vanilla extract
  • ⅛ tsp. salt

  1. Add the Pioneer® Golden Light Brown Sugar, heavy cream, butter, vanilla and salt to a heavy pan. Heat mixture over medium heat, whisking frequently to ensure the mixture does not stick to the bottom.
  2. Heat the mixture to soft ball stage (235° F). It should only take 5 – 8 minutes or until Pioneer® Golden Light Brown Sugar is completely incorporated.
  3. Once soft ball stage is achieved, remove from heat and let cool. This process should take about 30 – 45 minutes.
  4. After the cooling process is complete, take a whisk and beat it until it is lighter in color and no longer glossy.
  5. Grease a 9 x 9-inch pan to ensure no sticking. Then pour your mixture into the pan; spread evenly and let it set.
