Bran Banana Bars

  • 1 C all-purpose flour
  • ¼ C Pioneer® Golden Light Brown Sugar, packed
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 1 ½ tsp cinnamon
  • 1 C bran flakes cereal, crushed
  • 1 C skim milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 carrot, shredded
  • 1 ripe banana, mashed
  • ⅓ C walnuts, chopped


  1. Preheat oven to 375° F. Lightly grease 8-inch square baking pan; set aside.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine flour, Pioneer® Golden Light Brown Sugar, baking soda, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and cereal; mix well.
  3. In a small bowl, combine milk, eggs, carrot, banana and walnuts. Add to dry ingredients; mix.
  4. Pour into baking dish and bake for 25-35 minutes or until brown on top.
