  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 2 shallots, minced
  • 2 tsp. Pioneer® Sugar
  • ½ Serrano chili, chopped
  • 2 tsp water
  • 1 can (15 oz.) pinto beans, drained
  • 2 T water
  • Dash cayenne pepper
  • ½ tsp ground cumin
  • 1 T lemon juice


  1. Microwave garlic, shallots, Pioneer® Sugar, chili, and 2 tsp. water in small bowl on high for 30-45 seconds.
  2. In a food processor combine beans, water, cayenne pepper, cumin, and garlic/sugar mixture. Process until smooth. Fold into a bowl and microwave on high for 5-8 minutes or until hot. Stir in lemon juice.
  3. Serve with tortilla chips and chopped raw vegetables.
